24 GPM Commercial UV Water Sterilizer with Dual 110W UV Lamps
Add an extra level of microbiological treatment to your home or commercial water-filtration system with this 24 GPM ultraviolet water sterilizer.
Designed for large homes, farms, restaurants, offices, commercial facilities, and other higher-flow applications, this UV system uses two ultraviolet lamps inside a stainless-steel reactor chamber to expose flowing water to UV-C light.
When the system is properly sized, installed, and maintained, ultraviolet treatment can help inactivate bacteria, viruses, protozoa, algae, fungi, and other UV-sensitive microorganisms without adding chemicals, taste, or odour to the water.
Recommended Applications: Suitable for well water, rainwater, cisterns, cottages, farms, large homes, restaurants, commercial buildings, light-industrial facilities, and other non-chlorinated water sources requiring additional microbiological treatment.
Key Benefits
- High-capacity treatment for water flow up to 24 GPM
- Dual 110-watt ultraviolet lamps
- Chemical-free microbiological water treatment
- Stainless-steel chamber does not add taste or odour
- Serviceable quartz sleeves for easier maintenance
- Low-cost replaceable UV lamps
- LED operating indicator
- Audible ballast alarm helps identify lamp or power failure
How the UV Sterilizer Works
Each UV lamp is installed inside a protective quartz sleeve located within the stainless-steel reactor chamber. Water flows around the quartz sleeves and is exposed to ultraviolet light as it passes through the system.
The UV lamps are designed to operate continuously so the system is ready whenever water begins to flow. The rated 24 GPM capacity should not be exceeded, because excessive flow may reduce the amount of UV exposure received by the water.
The upgraded ballast includes an LED operating indicator and an audible alarm that can help alert the user if the lamp or ballast stops operating.
Important: UV light does not remove sediment, hardness, iron, manganese, chemicals, dissolved solids, colour, taste, or odour. Proper pretreatment may be required before the UV system.
Helps Inactivate Microorganisms Such As
- Bacteria, including certain strains of E. coli and Salmonella
- Viruses
- Protozoa, including Giardia and Cryptosporidium
- Algae
- Fungi, mould, and yeast
- Iron-related and sulphur-related bacteria
- Other UV-sensitive microorganisms
Performance Notice: Microorganism inactivation depends on UV dose, flow rate, water clarity, turbidity, UV transmittance, lamp age, quartz-sleeve cleanliness, water temperature, and installation quality.

Recommended Feed-Water Conditions
UV treatment performs best when the incoming water is clear and properly pretreated.
- Low turbidity and minimal suspended sediment
- Iron and manganese reduced to acceptable levels
- Hardness or scale controlled when required
- Minimal colour or organic staining
- Flow rate not exceeding 24 GPM
Install a sediment filter before the UV system whenever the source water contains dirt, rust, sand, silt, or other suspended particles.
Installation Guidelines
- Install the UV unit after all required pretreatment equipment
- Use the UV sterilizer as the final treatment stage whenever possible
- Allow enough service space to remove both lamps and quartz sleeves
- Confirm the correct flow direction before connecting the plumbing
- Use a flow-control device if the plumbing may exceed 24 GPM
- Check all seals and plumbing connections before applying power
- Do not operate the UV lamps outside the reactor chamber
- Do not look directly at an illuminated UV lamp
Electrical Installation: Install the ballast and electrical connection in a dry, protected location. All wiring must comply with applicable local electrical codes.
UV Safety Warning: Direct exposure to ultraviolet light can damage the eyes and skin. Never operate or view either UV lamp outside the enclosed chamber.
Maintenance Requirements
- Replace both UV lamps approximately every 9–12 months
- Clean both quartz sleeves regularly
- Replace damaged, cloudy, or heavily stained quartz sleeves
- Inspect and lubricate compatible O-rings during servicing
- Monitor the LED indicator and audible fault alarm
- Confirm that both lamps are operating after maintenance
- Disinfect downstream plumbing after installation or service when required
Why Lamp Replacement Matters: A UV lamp may continue to produce visible light even after its effective germicidal UV output has declined. Replace the lamps according to the recommended service interval even if they still appear illuminated.
Overall Performance Notice: The 24 GPM rating and microbiological treatment performance depend on water quality, UV transmittance, flow rate, lamp output, quartz-sleeve condition, system maintenance, and proper installation.
